How to Build a Revvi 18/20″ Electric Balance Bike – Full Step-by-Step Guide

The Revvi 18″ electric balance bike is one of the best ways to introduce young riders to off-road riding in a safe, controlled and exciting way. Whether you’ve just bought one for your child or you’re building one in-store, this guide walks you through the full assembly process from box to ready-to-ride.

With only a few simple steps, your Revvi 18/20″ can be fully built in under 20 minutes.

What Comes in the Box?

Inside your Revvi box you’ll find:

• Main bike frame with rear motor and swingarm pre-installed
• Front wheel
• Handlebars with throttle and brake levers fitted
• Front number board and sticker kit
• Battery and charger
• Tool kit
• Instruction manual

Everything needed for assembly is included.

Tools You’ll Need

The supplied tool kit is enough to build the bike, however having an additional Allen key set can make the process quicker.

We also recommend having a second person available when fitting the front wheel.

Step 1 – Fit the Handlebars

Insert the handlebars into the top clamp and line them up straight with the front forks.

Tighten the four Allen bolts evenly until secure.

Fit the front & rear brake levers then set the levers at a comfortable 45° riding angle or to the rider preference.

Connect the electrical plugs for the throttle and brake cut-off sensors.
Always align the small arrows on the connectors before pushing them together. Never force the plugs.

Step 2 – Fit the Front Wheel

Lift the front forks and position the front wheel between them.

Slide the axle through the wheel and into both fork dropouts.
Ensure washers are seated correctly.

Tighten both axle nuts fully.
Spin the wheel to confirm it rotates freely and sits straight.

If your bike includes a front mudguard, fit it now using the supplied bolt.

Step 3 – Fit the Front Number Board (Optional)

Line up the number board on the front forks and secure it using the supplied bolt.

You can now apply the rider name and number decals to personalise the bike.

Step 4 – Battery & First Charge

Before the first ride, fully charge the battery.
Charging time is approximately 1 hour from empty to full.

Only ever use the supplied Revvi charger.

Pre-Ride Safety Checks

Before riding, always complete the following checks:

✔ All bolts and nuts fully tightened
✔ Brakes operate correctly and cut motor power when pulled
✔ Tyres are in good condition and inflated to 20–25 PSI
✔ Battery is locked in and protected
✔ Speed mode set to low for new riders

First Ride Tips

Turn the bike on using the power switch.

Gently test the throttle and brakes at low speed.
Start in slow mode and allow the rider time to get used to the power delivery and braking before increasing speed.

Safety & Rider Information

• Recommended rider age: 8+
• Maximum rider weight: 18" = 50kg | 20" = 70kg
• Assembly, charging and maintenance must be completed by a responsible adult
• Only use the supplied charger
• Recharge the battery monthly if the bike is not being used for extended periods
